MA Interim Show 2026

Moroccan Majesty presents the highly creative and innovative work of the MA Fashion Design and MA Textile Design programmes at Winchester School of Art. This dynamic catwalk presentation and exhibition unfolds as a vibrant panorama of creativity, diversity, and cultural exploration.

The showcase charts the students’ boundary-pushing journey at the intersection of traditional Moroccan heritage with contemporary fashion and textile practice. Developed in collaboration with internationally renowned designer Samson Soboye and the traditional African printmaker, Orientar. The work draws deeply on the symbolism, graphical language, and visual richness of Moroccan print and textile craftsmanship.

These influences enter into an unexpected dialogue with the bold pageantry of the historic London tradition of the Pearly Kings and Queens, generating a powerful cultural exchange. The resulting collections are daring, contemporary, and resolutely cutting-edge—where heritage meets innovation, tradition meets rebellion, and global narratives are reframed through a confident, modern design lens.
