Russ Morgan Quartet

Russ Morgan (drummer), Harry Keeble (tenor sax), Mark Williams (guitar) and Andy Champion (double bass).

A Royal Academy of Music graduate, drummer Russ Morgan is a musician of exceptional pedigree. In the 1990s Russ toured and recorded with the Flanagan-Ingham Quartet. Russ has performed throughout the UK and Europe, working alongside an array of household names, including Alan Barnes, Paul Edis, Jim Mullen, Christine Tobin, Anita Wardell and Vasilis Xenopoulos. After a decade and more living and working on Tyneside, during which time he made a major contribution to the regional jazz scene, Russ recently relocated to Fife, Scotland. In addition to his performance schedule, Russ is proprietor of the online cymbal shop Cymbal Junkie. For this Jazz at the Lit & Phil concert, Russ reconvenes his stellar quartet, featuring Harry Keeble (tenor sax), Mark Williams (guitar) and Andy Champion (double bass).
