Love Letters: A Benefit Reception & Play Reading
Come enjoy an evening out to support Studio Theatre of Bath. We will begin the evening with a reception, featuring specialty cocktails and mocktails, a raffle and more! Following that, there will be a reading of the Pulitzer Prize winning play "Love Letters" by A.R. Gurney featuring Tamara Lilly & Dennis Crews.
The play centers on two characters, Melissa Gardner (Lilly) and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (Crews). Using the epistolary form sometimes found in novels, they sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards – in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.
Proceeds will benefit our 2026 season, including an all-adult cast version of the musical "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown."
