Light Express | Laser Show (at Science and Engineering Day)

Join the Light Express team, comprising of Southampton physicists, engineers and light scientists from the across the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, to explore the world of lasers, in a fun, interactive show. You will find out how lasers work, and how they can be used to produce beautiful shows, set things on fire, and even communicate!

Show times: 11:00, 12:45, 14:30

Run time: 45 minutes

Suitability: Ages 7+

PLEASE NOTE:

• Some additional tickets for each show will be available on the day in Building 46, on a first-come-first-served basis. Please queue politely so our volunteers can help you.
• In case the tickets for this show and other timed activities are sold out, please note that there are more than 150 other activities to enjoy during the day!

Accessibility: Expect some loud sounds, flashing images and darkened spaces. The venue has limited wheelchair accessibility and hearing loop is available. Priority seating for deaf, hard of hearing and visually impaired is available in the first two front rows.
