Launch of Crafting Futures: Sri Lanka

Join us for the launch of this five-day programme celebrating Sri Lankan craft, design, circular innovation and impact entrepreneurship. Hosted at London College of Fashion, UAL, it reflects the College’s heritage of craftsmanship and its commitment to connecting traditional skills with new and digital technologies.

At a time when the fashion and design sectors are seeking more ethical and sustainable models, the programme positions craft as a vital source of knowledge, offering slower, people-centred and materially intelligent ways of working.

The launch event brings together artisans, students, academics and industry partners to explore how craft can shape more resilient, responsible and future-focused creative practice.

The College's philosophy is to blend heritage and traditional craft with new and digital technologies with the week’s programme demonstrating how tradition and innovation can intersect to inform the future of design.
