What happens when fiber artists, sustainable farmers, and thoughtful eaters come together?

Knitter Dinner returns to Hidden Villa for an afternoon celebrating the art of making—whether that's growing food, raising animals, or creating with our hands. There's something transformative about knowing where things come from and being part of the process. Join us for an immersive afternoon at Hidden Villa's beautiful farm estate, where you'll explore regenerative agriculture in action, spend time with their flock of sheep, meet fellow knitters from across the Bay Area, and share a dinner made entirely from what the farm produces.

Hidden Villa's approach to farming is all about integration and intentionality. Their farmers tend small scale agriculture, designing systems that improve soil health, conserve water, and minimize their carbon footprint while caring for animals, growing vegetables, and producing fiber. Every element supports the others, creating a system that nourishes both land and community. Come discover how these values might inspire your own creative practice!

Event Agenda:

• 3:00pm - Arrival & Check-in
• 3:15pm - Farm Tour: Explore the gardens, taste fresh produce, and meet the sheep!
• 4:30pm - Knitting Time & Yarn Swap: Settle in with your projects and connect with fellow fiber enthusiasts
• 6:00pm - Farm-to-Table Dinner: A delicious meal featuring ingredients directly sourced from Hidden Villa
• 7:00pm - Event concludes

Good to Know:

• Wear warm layers and closed-toe shoes for the farm walk
• Dietary Accommodations: We can accommodate meat (pork), vegetarian, and gluten-free diets. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate vegan dietary restrictions for this event.
• Parking: We have 35 spots available at the Dana Center (closest to the event). Additional parking is available in the Main Parking Lot. Please refer to the parking map for exact parking details.
• Bring a flashlight for the walk back to your car as it may be dark
• Bring a current knitting project to share and work on
• Optional Yarn Swap: Bring full skeins with labels still attached that you'd like to exchange. Partial balls are welcome if they're part of a larger collection of the same yarn with labels.
• A photographer will be onsite to capture the day's festivities. Photo release forms will be available at check-in.
• Please plan to depart by 7:00pm to allow our gracious Hidden Villa staff time to wrap up
