KIPP Academy Middle School - In-Person Open House
As the first KIPP NYC school and the second KIPP school in the nation, KIPP Academy Middle School has helped define KIPP's mission. Since 1995, we've dedicated ourselves to excellence, supporting our students to develop the strengths needed for success in college and career. We serve students in grades 5-8 in the Bronx and are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year!
This Open House will take place in person at our campus. Come tour our building and experience the KIPP Academy community firsthand!
About us
Year after year, KIPP Academy has stood out as one of the Bronx's top-performing middle schools, proving that demographics do not define destiny. Today, our proud alumni are thriving in their professional careers, returning to inspire the next generation of KIPPsters, and even stepping back into our classrooms as educators at the very school where it all began.
What makes us special? All KIPP Academy students learn to play and read music, building academic and personal skills through our signature program. The KIPP Academy String and Rhythm Orchestra has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Theater, and Madison Square Garden—alongside artists like Alicia Keys, Wynton Marsalis, and John Legend.
Our vibrant school community features dance, visual arts, theater, and orchestra, plus extracurriculars including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, robotics, chess, cooking, and more.
