Spark Your Child’s Creativity This Summer with Our Kids Painting Workshop!

This summer, let your child dive into the world of art with our dedicated Kids Drawing Workshops at Sunny Art Academy located in Covent Garden.

Designed for children aged 7-17 and taking place in a relaxed and inspiring studio environment, they will explore their creativity while learning the foundations of drawing under the guidance of our friendly and professional expert tutors. Choose from one day or join multiple days for a deeper experience!

After our Drawing Week, we are offering a Painting Week. Children will learn how to mix primary and secondary colours, practise different brushstrokes, and discover how to add depth and dimension to a painting. Find out more about our Painting Week on our Events Page.

In our Drawing Week, they will learn to:

• Develop Observational Skills: Learn how to accurately study subjects, measure proportions, apply perspective, and improve confident line quality.
• Build Tonal & Mark-Making Control: Practise tonal shading, expressive mark-making, and explore compositional strategies to create depth and visual interest.
• Create Visual Narratives: Apply your skills to still life, portrait, and landscape drawing to communicate mood, structure, and storytelling through images.

All materials are provided!

Guided by professional artists, your child will develop confidence and technical skills while enjoying the joy of drawing in a relaxed, inspiring studio environment.

Children can work on subjects that interest them, from animals and nature to imaginative scenes, while receiving personalised guidance and demonstrations from our tutors. With small class sizes, each child gets individual attention in a supportive and engaging atmosphere.

Ideal for children of all levels who love to create, this workshop will inspire and build confidence while giving your child a joyful, enriching summer art experience.
