All proceeds from this event will go towards the Kate Carmichael Stillbirth Foundation, also known as KateCares. KateCares was started in 2003 by Kep and Michelle Carmichael following the stillbirth of their daughter, Katherine Jean Carmichael. Our mission is to support families who experience stillbirth by thoroughly investigating each stillbirth to determine a cause and provide closure. We also advise families following a stillbirth to reduce the chance of a stillbirth in future pregnancies, with all of our services being completely free to families. We currently operate in the Riley Children's and IU Health Hospital Networks, but are looking to expand to every hospital in Indiana.
