Join-in Yacht Fishing and Fishing Courses at Southern Islands, Singapore

Strangers are just friends waiting to happen. Hop on board our fishing yacht and journey to the Southern Islands of Singapore where you will be fishing in the biggest local coral reef system.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

None.

Recommended to attend our Novice Angler's Course prior to the trip to fully enjoy the fishing experience.

AGE:

Child who is 12 years old and below will have to share a rod with an adult who is also taking the course for safety reasons.

TRIP INCLUDES:

• Fishing on board private yacht
• Guidance from our fishing instructors
• Mineral water on board
• Bait (live and dead prawns)
• Ice for storage of catch
• Fresh catch of your own from the sea to bring back
• Rental of fishing equipment and usage of accessories
• New friendships made

FISHING EQUIPMENT:

Requires 1 medium setup (rod: PE 2-4, reel size 3000-4000)

Fishing equipment and accessories are provided free of charge to all students of MFFA, however, we encourage you to bring your own so that you can grow to become an independent angler.

ATTIRE:

Lessons are conducted outdoors most of the time. Please wear clothing such as a long-sleeved t-shirt, cap, face mask, etc. that can protect you from the sun.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING:

• Lunch (Please take light breakfast before the course)
• Seasick pills (if you are prone to seasick)
• Clothing/ Cap/ Bandana/ Sunglasses (shield from the sun)
• Raincoat (Umbrella is not recomended for use onboard)
• Plastic bags to take your catch back (no big ice box please)

Beginner Angler's Course
Master the basics of fishing with this beginner's course on Southern Island. Learn how to use a fishing setup, tie knots, understand fish feeding behavior, catch a fish, and keep it fresh, and more.
Duration:
- 40 mins online theory
- 4 hours practical on boat
*Book a date for your practical session on the fishing yacht. Watch the online tutorials via the link sent to you, and please complete the online quiz before your fishing practical. Tie at least one set of paternoster rigs and bring it to the practical.*

Novice Angler's Course
Learn the art of hunting larger fish on our challenging yacht conditions. Master advanced knot-tying for extended battles with powerful predatory fish in our unique yacht classroom setting.

Intermediate Angler's Course
Covers the effective techniques of jigging and luring, highlighting their superiority of timing & execution.

Advanced Angler’s Course

Acquire knowledge directly from experts as you progress in mastering fishing skills like popping, micro-jigging, slow-fall jigging, walk-the-dog luring, and more. Participate in our workshops to enhance your expertise in rod building, boat handling, and various other aspects of the craft.
