Jemput Makan, Abah: Conversations Over Nasi Ulam, Masculinity & Mental Health
If you could have a chat with your father/father figure about mental health, what would you say?
Over a shared meal of Nasi Ulam, we’re inviting Malay men and their father/father figures to pause and peel the layers of mental health and masculinity — the weight, the expectations, and the need for care that often goes unspoken.
If you can’t come with your father or father figure but are interested in this intergenerational chat, you’re welcome too! This will be a small and intimate group, so we’d appreciate it if you could commit fully to this gathering.
Facilitated by Lepak Conversations and The White Book, Jemput Makan, Abah is a safe, open space for men of different generations to reflect, share stories, and explore how we can redefine what masculinity and mental healthcare look like — together.
