Make unique prints using the historic cyanotype process that uses the sun to print on any specially coated surface.

Learn to use fabric squares that are pre-treated with cyanotype chemistry to make your own cyanotype patch!

Botanist Anna Atkins published her detailed and meticulous botanical images using the cyanotype photographic process in her 1843 book, Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions, the first ever printed with photos.

After developing your cyanotype in the sun, rinsing and drying it, we will have needles and thread available for you to use to sew your 5” x 5” patch onto a clothing piece or bag of your choice if you wish.
