In Living Texture is a vibrant celebration of color, culture, joy, and movement.
Bringing together three local contemporary artists, the exhibition explores themes of identity, community, fashion, texture, and the emotional pulse of celebration itself. Through painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, each artist offers a distinct perspective on what it means to belong, to gather, and to express joy — especially in times when those acts feel radical.
Rooted in diasporic dialogue, the exhibition is curated by Arazo Abdulla, a Kurdish artist and cultural worker, and Jasmine McNeal, an African-American curator, in collaboration with T- Gallery, a Nigerian-American–owned space. Together, the curators and gallery create a shared platform that honors memory, movement, and contemporary cultural expression across communities.
The show invites viewers to reflect on how we hold memory through movement, express culture through color, and find connection through shared rhythms. IN Living Texture is not just an art exhibition — it is a living, breathing moment of togetherness.
