We are aware that many people feel fearful for the future - because of climate breakdown, biodiversity loss, poverty and inequality, isolation, and the forces in society that stoke division, among other issues.
We are inviting community groups to make short presentations about what they do in the community so that we can acknowledge what has already been achieved, and be inspired by it.
We will then have one to one conversations about a.) the concerns we have as individuals and local community leaders about the current social and political climate we find ourselves in, b.) what is our hopeful vision for the future of our communities, and c.) what we need to do to get from here to there.
The purpose of the event is to have a dialogue, to reflect upon and celebrate what has already been achieved in the community, and speak freely among friends about our concerns. What results from the event is in the hands of the participants.
