My name is Travers Tobis and I recently moved to Los Angeles as a writer and an actor to pursue the same dream I know all of you have: making movies. But when I got here, I discovered that most people I talked to were working day jobs they hate or were hoping to be noticed as an assistant, but the thing they weren't doing is the thing they love: MAKING MOVIES.

So I created this event -- a free get-together for filmmakers who want to make connections, make friends, share ideas, collaborate, and make movies. We can't keep waiting for someone to give us our big break when we can create it for ourselves right now.
