Born in 1998 in Assam, India, Bhawana Jain's practice unfolds at the intersection of
ecopoiesis, embodied memory, and cultural reclamation. Working across installation,
drawing, printmaking, sound, film, and performance, she explores ecological, social, and
spiritual thresholds. Her work draws on feminist phenomenology, decolonial thought, and
cosmology to examine how bodies—both individual and collective—are shaped by, and in
turn shape, the world.
