What do animals do in winter?
\nThey get hungry and cold just like us!
\nJoin us to learn about winter and what is happening around the reserve.
\nOur engagement and activities team will support you to complete a range of self-led cross-curricular activities dotted around the nature reserve.
\nDon't forget to sign up for the owl pellet dissection workshops when you arrive - as they take place at specific times with a limit on numbers able to attend each session.
\nUsing tweezers and magnifiers, your child will carefully extract the bony contents of a real owl pellet and learn about the owl's diet and behaviour first hand. Sign up for a timed workshop on arrival.
\nMost activities will be outdoors - please come dressed for the weather. (Pellet workshop will be inside.)
\nThere will be a quiet reading and sensory tray space indoors as well.
\nOur shop and cafe will be open for food, drinks and interesting souvenirs.
\nThe day is suitable for children aged 4 to 11 years with an accompanying adult (it's ok to bring younger siblings along so long as you can still support your older child with the activities).
