An open-air or parking lot-based African holiday market celebrating food,\ncreativity, and connection.

Join us for a festive weekend celebrating African food, culture, and community! The Holiday African Foods Market & Community Day brings together local vendors, families, and cultural enthusiasts for two days of connection and celebration.

Shop authentic African foods, handmade crafts, clothing, candles, and holiday gifts — all while enjoying live music, delicious bites, and a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about Medi-Cal health coverage through a friendly outreach table, helping community members stay healthy and informed this holiday season.

🩺 What Is Medi-Cal?

Medi-Cal is California’s free or low-cost health coverage program that helps individuals and families get the care they need — from doctor visits and prescriptions to dental, vision, and mental-health services. It’s part of California’s commitment to make health care accessible to everyone, regardless of income or immigration status.

💡 Who Can Get Medi-Cal

If you live in California, you may qualify.
Medi-Cal is available for:

  • Individuals and families with limited income
  • Children and young adults
  • Pregnant people and new parents
  • Seniors (65+)
  • People with disabilities
  • All Californians — regardless of immigration status

🧾 What Medi-Cal Covers

Your Medi-Cal plan helps you stay healthy and protected with:

  • Regular doctor visits and preventive care
  • Hospital and emergency services
  • Prescription medications
  • Dental and vision care
  • Mental-health and counseling services
  • Pregnancy, postpartum, and family-planning care
  • Long-term and in-home support

🕊️ Why It Matters

Having health coverage means peace of mind — knowing you and your loved ones can see a doctor, get medicine, or visit a clinic without worrying about cost.

As of 2024, Medi-Cal is open to all income-eligible adults in California, regardless of immigration status — but you must apply before December 31, 2025 to activate coverage for the new year.
