
The Minnesota Humanities Center is honored to collaborate with the Governor’s Council on the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday to deliver the Inaugural Minnesota Historical Landmark Tour, a full-day immersive exploration of African American history, culture, and contemporary significance across Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
This guided tour will highlight key sites connected to the Black freedom struggle, including:
Participants will hear from a panel of community experts, including historians, culture bearers, organizers, and the official tour guide. The experience includes lunch, transportation, and all program materials.
Weather & January Conditions
This is a winter event in Minnesota, and participants will be getting on and off buses throughout the day.
Please dress warmly and wear winter-appropriate footwear.

Buses will leave promptly at 9:45 AM.
