Adapted by local writer and director Janine Sharp, the Senior Youth Theatre will be performing at Clyro Village Hall on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 for Adults, £6 for 16 and under. Make sure to reserve your tickets as demand will be high.
Funded by National Lottery Wales and the PAVO Youth-Led Grant Scheme, this project has been led by a brilliant cast of twenty 11–18 year-olds. They chose the play and were involved in designing and making the set, props and costumes too.
Janine has reset the story from 1944 Cornwall to the coast of Clyro in 1949, beside the fictional Hay Sands. The year is significant—it marked the arrival of Britain’s first female Detective Inspector, reflecting a changing post-war world that doesn’t sit easily with the play’s grand dame, Lady Tressilian.
