Hannah Mayer Quartet

Piano phenom, Hannah Mayer originally from El Cerrito, is a recent graduate of the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, and is now making a splash in the jazz clubs of New York. We are thrilled to welcome her back for this performance.

Hannah has been a member of Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead (Kennedy Center), NYO Jazz (Carnegie Hall) and the SFJAZZ High School All-Stars. Hannah recently released an album paying tribute to the Broadway composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim (“Hannah Mayer & Friends Play Sondheim”), which captures their drive to bridge their love of improvised music and theatre.

Hannah will be playing with Gus Hurteau on vibes, Essiet Essiet on bass, and Sylvia Cuenca on drums
