Hack the Arts 2025 - Creative Arts Workshops at Pratt Manhattan

Hack the Arts! Join us for a full day of learning and creating, led by current Pratt faculty.

Open to current high school juniors and seniors.

Learn more about art and design through hands-on activities and design challenges.

Choose one of the following workshops:

Drawing and Painting Using a variety of materials students will explore traditional and non-traditional drawing techniques in pencil, charcoal and ink.

Game Design Students will explore principles of Game Deisign in a mini-game jam workshop.

Graphic Design What is graphic design? What does good design look like? Students will explore these topics and more through a series of design challenges using traditional techniques and media as well as design software.

Illustration Students will use photographic references and imagination to create exciting and fun illustrations while learning about the process of taking an idea from initial concept to thumbnail sketch to final complete illustration.

Lunch is provided, and space is limited, so please register today!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We are on West 14th Street between subway stations on both 6th and 7th avenues. On 6th Avenue the F Train stop is W14 and the L Train is the 6th Ave stop. On 7th Avenue, you can use the 1, 2, or 3 lines. What can I bring into the event? Please bring a sketchbook and pencils- all other supplies will be provided.
