Learn basic fruit tree care and maintenance, pest and disease management, and soil fertility in the orchard.

Join DeKalb Cooperative Extension and Food Well Alliance for an in-depth Growing Community Orchards Training workshop! Located at the DeKalb Extension Office, this training will cover basic fruit tree care and maintenance, pest and disease management, and soil fertility in the orchard. We'll also have a section on Community Orchard Leadership training and time to network with other orchard enthusiasts!

The training is open to beginning orchardists, growers who are already caring for fruit trees, and anyone interested in stewarding a community orchard. Learn more about Food Well's Orchard Project, which funds the planning of a community orchard at no cost to the steward.

Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
