What to Bring:
Every penny raised supports The Stan Bowley Trust (Registered Charity No. 1144398), named after Alan 'Stan' Bowley, a Staffordshire police officer who was diagnosed with cancer. When traditional surgery couldn't help, Stan discovered CyberKnife® treatment, but it wasn't available in the UK.
Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and colleagues who raised around £40,000, Stan was able to travel to Washington D.C. for treatment, which gave him precious extra time with his loved ones.
Stan and those close to him couldn't believe this life-saving treatment wasn't accessible to everyone who needed it in the UK.
The Stan Bowley Trust was founded in 2011 so that no family would have to face what Stan's family did—the desperate search for hope when traditional options have run out.
