Join the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities for their I/DD Medicaid Advocacy Day.

Advocacy Days are a great chance for people in Georgia's developmental disabilities (DD) community to talk directly with state leaders. GCDD staff and volunteers help attendees speak up about issues that matter to the DD community. Advocacy Days work well for both first-time advocates and experienced ones who want to make a real difference in Georgia's policies for people with DD.

Each Advocacy Day focuses on one important topic for the DD community. Join us for our final Advocacy Day of the year on March 4, 2026 - No Cuts to Care: I/DD Medicaid Advocacy Day.

Medicaid is a lifeline for thousands of Georgians with intellectual/developmental disabilities, providing essential services including personal care, therapy, medical equipment, and community-based supports that allow people to live, work, and thrive in their communities.

Your Voice Matters! When you join us, you'll meet with your members of Georgia’s legislature to share your real stories about how Medicaid supports independence, employment, health, and quality of life for people with disabilities and their families.

Advocacy Days support GCDD's main goal: to create changes in society and government that give people with DD and their families better opportunities to live, learn, work, play, and worship in Georgia communities.
