Gaybourhood East – Queer Family Ceilidh!

Get ready to ‘Strip the Willow’ and ‘Gay Gordons’ your way around the dance floor at this inclusive family ceilidh led by Gaybourhood East and Wee Movers (east-London children’s dance classes).

What to expect: Scottish ceilidh but with a strong east London queer family twist. All dances are gender-free and you will be guided through each dance – no experience required. Expect toe-tapping, big smiles, shortbread (yum) and lots of fun. Spin your partner round!

Venue: Walthamstow Trades Hall
Entrance: Free (donations welcome)
Timings: 1-4pm at The Trades Hall, with dancing shoes on from 2pm sharp

Paid bar for the adults, you’re welcome to bring your own food. 20% discount at Yard Sale pizza across the street for Trade Hall members, just ask!

Gaybourhood East is a friendly social space for queer families with kids of all ages, run by volunteer queer parents. The Trades Hall is a queer friendly community space, just 10 mins from Walthamstow Central. Great music, cheap bar, soft play, pool table, board games, loads of space to run around and discounts on Yard Sale Pizza next door. Everyone welcome - including dogs!
