FULL CIRCLE – The Art of Becoming is a retrospective and reimagining of artist Sonya Sanchez Arias’ multidisciplinary practice—bringing together photography, mixed media assemblage, image transfer, and sculptural works that explore identity, memory, ancestry, and transformation.

Rooted in Caribbean heritage and shaped by a life lived between cultures, the exhibition weaves past and present into visual narratives that honor resilience, hybridity, and becoming. Found objects, salvaged materials, archival imagery, and contemporary photographic processes converge to tell stories of lineage, belonging, and quiet strength.

This exhibition invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and reflect on the personal and collective journeys that shape who we are—and who we are still becoming.
