Another belter of a line-up heads to Dundee!

On Friday 30th January critically-acclaimed comedian Scott Agnew will be returning to Number 57 to headline Dundee’s favourite comedy night, joined by Matthew Gallagher, Nina Owens-Friday and your host Graham Stewart.

Scott Agnew is a critically acclaimed 20 year veteran of the stand-up circuit both nationally and internationally, has been a guest on BBC Scotland's Comedy Underground and regular panellist on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News. His comedy CV is as packed as his work diary, having won Scottish Comedian of the Year, Best Show 2017 and nominated for Best Headliner 2018 at the Scottish Comedy Awards. Other gongs include Winner of Icon Entertainer of The Year 2017, 2020 Proud Scotland Entertainer of The Year Award and Attitude Magazines 84th Most Eligible Gay Bachelor In The World 2017 (still single but inexplicably dropped out the chart run down).

“No one has anecdotes quite like Scott Agnew… a shockingly entertaining and eye opening show." - Chortle

“Master storyteller, with broad appeal, the jokes fit like a glove… truly unmissable.” – Chortle

"Tough, funny, original" - Attitude

"Electrifying" – Guardian

Hosting the night will be sought-after comedian-magician Graham Stewart. He regularly performs all over Scotland, has had sell-out solo shows at the Glasgow Comedy Festival and is the creator and compere of Laughternoon Comedy.

“A brilliant consistent performer, with equal measures of warmth and madness” – Des McLean

“Like Tommy Cooper on acid” – Irvine Times

Opening the show will be Glasgow native Matthew Gallagher. He’s been asked to write a bio before and the best he come up with was this sentence you are reading now. We know he’s gigged at Hot Water Comedy Club and is frequently chosen to open for Weegie Hink Ae That? We’ve never seen him do anything other than rattle the roof with laughter so please trust us on this one.

Also featuring a shorter set from exciting comedy newcomer Nina Owens-Friday.

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**

· Tickets can be refunded or exchanged no less than 24 hours before the show.

· Line-ups can be subject to change at short notice.

· The show is in three 30 minute parts separated by two intervals. Doors open at 7pm, one hour before the start time of 8pm. Please arrive before the show starts but not before 7pm. Attendees who arrive late will not be granted admission or a refund.

· This is NOT a standing event. All audience members must be seated while the performance is underway, unless ordering at the bar or using the toilets. When ordering at the bar, please whisper.

· Entrance and exit is via the side door only; please wait outside at the door for ticket check and to be seated by the doorman.

· Tables are limited and you may have to share one. If you choose to sit on a row, please move all the way down to the end and don’t leave empty seats between groups. You may not be able to sit together if the remaining chairs available are spread out. If you are particular about seating we recommend arriving as early as possible.

· Seats in the front half of the room must be filled before seating in the back half is allocated.

· Seating in the alcove at the back is reserved for the comedians and their guests only.

· Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule…

· Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography.

· These shows are for people aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age.

· Comedy Dundee does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance.

· Audience members who repeatedly break these rules will be asked to leave.
