Join our fortnightly Foxes Forest School with your 5 to 7 year old, where you and your child learn and grow together in a safe, supportive woodland environment.
Foxes Forest School is designed for those families who home educate their children. It will be delivered by qualified Forest School Practitioners who are experienced in weaving fun, exploration and learning and personal development together outdoors. (It feels like magic but is based on research-backed methods.)
There will be a framework structure to sessions that gives everyone a sense of routine and creates safety. The Forest School Leader will have a planned theme or activities on offer each session, which are aimed at supporting the EYFS Framework and KS1 Curriculum. Then, through play-based and child-led activities, we tap into the ways that children learn best and build on their development as opportunities arise.
Forest School Practitioners track each child and create activities and opportunities that will engage and stretch them, while also trusting their innate wisdom to engage with those elements they need the most: whether big movement play for their gross motor skills, learning to self-regulate in the hammock or fuelling curiosity in the world of bugs. We work closely with developmental schemas and provide a range of opportunities to fulfil them, through the Forest School setting.
