First Day Hikes: Night Hike
Step into the park after dark for a guided night hike as we reflect on the new year. We’ll explore how the landscape changes at night — from the calls of nocturnal animals to the glow of the moon and stars — and take moments along the trail to pause, listen, and consider our hopes and intentions for the year ahead.
This 2-mile walk begins at the main trailhead. We will walk along the main trailhead up grasslands trail to loop around back to the parking lot. The route features about 300ft of elevation gain.
Wear layers and closed toe shoes. Bring water. Bring a snack. We will be using red light for this walk. Please bring a red light flashlight or bring a flashlight – we will have red cellophane.
Rain will cancel. No Pets.
Parking: Malibu Creek State Park Main Trailhead Parking Lot near the Bathrooms
All day – $12.00 per car, per day
3 hrs – $9.00 per car
2 hrs – $6.00 per car
1 hr – $3.00 per car
Park in the main trailhead parking lot (third parking lot on your left once entering the park)
