
A screening of Hitchcock’s classic The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog. Against the backdrop of foggy 1920s London this film tells the story of a hunt for a serial killer.
The evening features an historical introduction from The London Archives.
Silent film pianist Ashley Valentine will bring the film to life by improvising a live score on the night. Ashley studied music at the University of York and lives close by to St Giles' Church in Camberwell, South London, where he is Director of Music. Ashley regularly plays at the Cinema Museum in Kennington and has accompanied a wide variety of silent films, from comedy shorts to full length films directed by Hitchcock, E.A. Du Pont, Anthony Asquith and many others.
Each ticket includes popcorn and a drink (soft drink or wine).
