Synopsis
Memoir of a Snail (2024), directed by Adam Elliot, is a stop-motion tragicomedy about Grace Pudel, a lonely woman who finds solace in her collection of snails. After losing her parents and being separated from her twin brother, Grace grows up withdrawn and burdened by grief. Through her friendship with an eccentric older woman named Pinky, she begins to confront her trauma and the emotional “shell” she’s built around herself. Told with dark humour and tenderness, the film is a moving meditation on loneliness, memory, and the slow, painful process of healing.
