You and your team can access a suite of two workshops; one with a practitioner focus and one for leaders and managers.

Keynote speaker: TBA

Practitioners’ workshops:

Positive Children, Positive Behaviour

This is an invaluable workshop promotes a series of strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviour and helps practitioners to fundamentally understand their children’s behaviour. By understanding what children are trying to communicate with their behaviour we can better guide them towards pro-social behaviour and ultimately help them thrive.

This session will be a real game changer as it gives unique insight into children’s behaviour which can really help practitioners especially if they feel like they are struggling. The workshop explores some of the myths around behaviour and gives concrete strategies for unlocking pro-social behaviour and some incredible new research into just why traditional methods are not effective. This can have a dramatic effect on the children, the practitioners and the setting as a whole.

Voices, Choices, and Thinking Together

This session is all about making sure every child you work with feels heard, valued, and excited to lead their own adventures in learning and play.

You will find out how to be a Red Bus Adult, creating a place where children’s voices matter, solving problems and sharing ideas side by side.

When you give children a say, their confidence grows and they feel good about themselves. It is not just about letting them make choices, but also about listening, sharing, and finding joy in learning together with you.

Leaders and Managers’ workshops:

Caring for the Carers: Supporting Staff Mental Health in Out-of-School Childcare

With increasing demands on practitioners to manage complex behaviours, meet inspection standards, and provide nurturing environments for children, it’s vital that staff feel emotionally supported, valued, and resilient. As a useful reflection prior to the workshop, please take a moment to think about who is on ‘your team’ and areas where you feel you need further support.

The session explores practical strategies for promoting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, including looking after yourself through realistic self-care, stress management, peer support, reflective practice, and creating a supportive team around you. Participants will also learn how to recognise signs of burnout, build a culture of care, and access relevant resources and support networks.

What’s Next for Wraparound: Building a Sustainable Wraparound Business That Works While You Play

This future-focused session is designed for experienced wraparound providers and school leaders who are ready to move beyond survival mode and explore ‘what’s next’ for their wraparound offer.

We’ll explore how to strengthen your business foundations while positioning for growth — from raising your profile and diversifying income, to building meaningful partnerships and networks that extend your reach and impact.

Whether you’re an owner-operator, a school leader, or part of a collaborative model, this workshop will help you think strategically about sustainability once national funding ends. Expect a blend of practical tools, reflective planning, and fresh thinking to help you futureproof your wraparound – so that it continues to work for your children, families, team and you.
