Join us for this fun family-friendly workshop at the Wild Chesil Centre and make a nest box to take home for the birds in your garden.

Join us for this fun family-friendly workshop at the Wild Chesil Centre to have a go at making a bird nest box.

The morning will be divided into two separate hour long sessions (starting at 10.30am or 12pm) and we can only accommodate five children per session.

With help from Dorset Wildlife Trust staff and accompanying adults each child assembles their nest box kit, which they can take home to help the birds in their garden. All the materials and tools required will be provided along with advice on where to site the box and aftercare.

This event is suitable for families with children from 4 to 15 yrs old. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Session 1 runs from 10:30am to 11:30am.
Session 2 runs from 12pm to 1pm.

Tickets are charged at £8 per child, accompanying adults FREE.

The event takes place indoors but please anything you might need on the day, e.g. drinking water.

There is a large pay and display car park (Chesil Beach Pay & Display) next to the Wild Chesil Centre. Please note, parking charges are not included in the event ticket cost.

If coming by public transport, the number 1 bus runs regularly between Weymouth and Portland. If travelling from Weymouth direction the closest bus stop is Wyke Regis, opposite Ferrybridge and if travelling from Portland direction is Wyke Regis, Chesil Beach Holiday Park. It is then approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the centre.
