The Spirit of Landscape is a solo fine-art exhibition by expressive landscape artist Viola Hortová, presenting landscape paintings created between 2023 and 2026 alongside selected sketchbooks that offer insight into her creative process.
Viola’s practice begins and ends with landscape and nature. Working primarily en plein-air, she paints immersed in the atmosphere of a place, combining the spirit of the landscape with her own emotional experience. The exhibition explores the idea that landscape is not something we simply observe, but something we stand within, carrying memory, emotion, and over time something that becomes part of us.
The exhibition invites visitors to move slowly through the space and reflect on their own relationship with landscape and place.
