Join us for a community potluck, discussion & letter writing in support of the hunger strikers, Filton 24, and all political prisoners.

There are currently at least 33 people in the UK illegally detained by the British state for taking direct action for Palestine. Since November 2nd 2025, some of the prisoners have been on an indefinite hunger strike with five core demands. As the state and prison system continue to ignore and treat them inhumanely, the hunger strikers have been repeatedly hospitalised and are in immediate danger of losing their lives.

Six of the the Filton 24 also started their trial in late 2025 after being held in prison for more than a year without any conviction. They face an arduous battle with the British legal system and the state's overreaching use of counter-terrorism powers.

ESEA Sisters stand in full solidarity with the hunger strikers, the Filton 24, and all political prisoners. We see how oppressive regimes and the global prison-industrial complex have jailed actionists in Britain for opposing genocide, put thousands of Palestinians in ruthless Israeli detention, and imprisoned activists in our home countries in East and Southeast Asia for fighting injustice.

Join us as we discuss the global prisoner movements, hunger strikes, direct action, prison abolition, and how we can mobilise to support them. We will hear from friends of the hunger strikers, activists who took direct action, and campaigns for political prisoners in China and the Phillippines; there will be readings from a zine about Indonesian domestic workers' hunger strike while detained in Hong Kong, Angela Davis' writing on prison abolition, and more.

This event is open to everyone who wants to learn about and share insights on these topics. We will also be writing letters to those currently behind bars after the discussions.
