Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End

Presented by MariLou Productions, Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End by sisters Allison & Margaret Engel is a solo show taking a comic look at one of our country’s most beloved voices, who captured the frustrations of her generation by asking, “If life is a bowl of cherries, what am I doing in the pits?”

Playing the title role is Louise K. Cornetta, nominated for a 2022 Broadway World Award for best solo performance for her portrayal of Erma Bombeck at the Center for Performing Arts in Bonita Springs. A cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, she has been acting in Southwest Florida since moving here full-time in 2022, performing lead roles in Marco Island (Hollywood Arms, Vanities, Love Letters), the Naples Studio Players (Beer for Breakfast) and Bonita (A Girl’s Guide to Chaos, Stage It) as well as years of performing in Connecticut on stage, screen and commercials where she enjoyed a 27 year career at ESPN taking her to every major sporting event.
