8 of the 10 ASEAN member states have set net-zero emissions goals, with target years ranging around mid-century or later: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Singapore and Viet Nam target around 2050; Indonesia targets 2060; and Thailand 2065.
This evening will explore the critical pathways for decarbonising and greening energy supplies across the ASEAN region, drawing on insights from DNV’s Energy Transition Outlook 2025.
Participants will gain an up-to-date understanding of the region’s energy landscape — where fossil fuels still dominate, renewable capacity is expanding rapidly, and climate risk and economic growth are reshaping energy choices.
We will delve into practical pathways to accelerate the energy transition, discuss what it would take for companies to achieve net-zero targets, the needed transformational changes across the value chain and collective action from all stakeholders.
Attendees will leave with a clearer sense of strategic levers, challenges and opportunities for achieving our net-zero goals.
This evening is part of The Matcha Initiative series "2026 Energy Focus"
