Margaret Heffernan’s latest book, Embracing Uncertainty: How Writers, Musicians and Artists Thrive in an Unpredictable World, explores how creative thinkers learn to flourish when the future is unknowable. Drawing on her research into the habits of artists and innovators, Margaret examines how curiosity, resilience and imagination can help us all navigate turbulent times.

Margaret is the author of six acclaimed books, including Wilful Blindness, named by the Financial Times as one of the most important business books of the decade, and Uncharted, a bestseller shortlisted for the FT/McKinsey Business Book of the Year. Her TED Talks have been viewed more than 13 million times. In 2024 she was inducted into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame for her contribution to leadership and management thinking.

She is Professor of Practice at the University of Bath and mentors senior leaders worldwide.
