Join Karolina (Surya Yoga & Sound) for a day of rest and reconnection in the beautiful grounds of Stoughton Grange Farm Park.

Set just on the edge of Leicester, this retreat is an urban oasis in nature — a place where you don’t need to travel far to feel far away. We’ll gather in a stretch tent beside woodland and a tranquil lake, sharing yoga, sound, forest bathing, and the warmth of fire as autumn deepens.

Why Embracing Autumn?

By early November, autumn is deepening — the trees have turned, the air is crisp, and nature is slowly preparing for the quiet of winter. It’s the perfect moment to pause, rest, and reconnect.

This retreat is designed to:

  • Honour the season — embracing the beauty of autumn before winter arrives
  • Deeply rest through yoga and sound
  • Reconnect with nature through forest bathing and fire meditation
  • Nourish body and soul with grounding practices and hearty food

What You’ll Experience

  • Morning Yoga – a flowing practice to gently open body and mind
  • Immersive Sound Bath – one hour of deep rest with the healing vibrations of gongs, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, and other therapeutic instruments
  • Reflection & Journaling – space to integrate your sound journey
  • Brunch at the Pub - Cow & Plough – a hearty pub meal (vegetarian and vegan options available, drink included)
  • Guided Forest Bathing Walk – beginning with pranayama (breathwork), then mindful walking, sensory awareness, and quiet reflection by the lake
  • Fire Meditation & Closing Circle – gathering around the warmth of the fire to seal in the practice (indoors if wet)

Schedule

  • 10:00 – Arrival & welcome tea
  • 10:30 – 11:30 – Morning yoga
  • 11:45 – 12:45 – Immersive sound bath
  • 12:45 – 1:00 – Reflection & journaling
  • 1:00 – 1:15 – Walk to the pub
  • 1:15 – 2:15 – Nourishing brunch at the pub
  • 2:15 – 3:15 – Forest bathing with pranayama & mindful walk
  • 3:15 – 4:00 – Fire meditation & closing circle

What to Bring

  • Yoga mat
  • Duvet or sleeping bag for the sound bath, cushion and warm clothes and socks (sessions take place in a stretch tent, gently heated, but you’ll want to be cosy)
  • Extra layers, waterproofs, and wellies for the woodland walk (we’ll walk rain or shine, unless weather is extreme)

Meet Your Host:

Karolina Kozera

Karolina Kozera from Surya Yoga Sound is a sound healer and yoga teacher with over a decade of experience, trained in India and the UK. Her studies include traditional Hatha and Nada Yoga at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in India, further training in Vinyasa and Yin in London, and specialist qualifications in sound therapy with masters such as Lola Lhamo and Sheila Whittaker. This blend of disciplines grounds her work in both yogic tradition and the therapeutic power of sound.

In her sessions, Karolina works with Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, shruti box, monochord and voice to create deeply restorative and immersive soundscapes. She sees sound as both medicine and meditation – a practice that supports nervous system balance, emotional release, and inner listening.
