Your Creative Support Group: Reframing Menopause Through Art & Connection

This workshop is designed for women going through peri-menopause and menopause. It is a small creative and nurturing group to help women explore and reframe menopause so that it can be lived as a powerful initiation into intuition and wisdom. It will become a map to guide you into self knowledge and develop self trust.

Through guided art-making, reflective practices, and meaningful discussion, you’ll have space to express yourself freely, connect with other women, and gain tools for self-care during peri- and menopause.

Each week we’ll explore a differnt theme that resonates with the natural changes you’re experiencing. Although many experiences and symptoms overlap!

You’ll have time to be playful and gently experiment with art materials as well as be with your thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.

"It is about acknowledging and honouring our journey, shaped by symptoms, thoughts and emotions, without judgment , but with loving curiosity."

This isn’t a medical approach to menopause, it is a human, creative and empowering approach, so you can rewrite your story, and change your inner dialogue.

If you’re in need of some “me time” and want to pause and take stock, this group will provide just that.

WHO IS THE CREATIVE REPONSES TO MENOPAUSE FOR?

  • This group is for women who are perimenopausal or menopausal, and who want to express experiences that may feel isolating, challenging, or uncomfortable.
  • It is for women seeking an alternative outlet and who wish to feel part of a nourishing, supportive community.
  • It is for women who are not satisfied with a purely medical approach to understanding menopause, and who wish to honour their own power and use thier imagination to gain a different persepctive.
  • It’s for women who like the idea of play, and art making, who enjoy images and story, and who want to explore creative ways of expressing themselves.

What to expect:

  • Weekly themed sessions - based on the book Wise Power - The Great Awakener by Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wuritzer ( Founders of Red School) and my own lived experence and reflections on menopause.
  • Guided practices & art-making in response to themes of Cocoon, Rest, Betrayal, Repair, Revelation, Visioning and Emergence.
  • A small part of the time will be coming into presence with our bodies, through gentl movement and rest.
  • The benefit of being in a warm, supportive community, to learn together, and grow together.

All art materials are provided, and warm refreshments too.

You dont have to have any experience making art becasue I guide you through easy exercises and the approach in this space is that any mark, be that a swirl, some squiggles or stick woman with crazy hair, is a valid expression and can have meaning!

Get in touch if you have any questions or buy a ticket here and drop into the next workshop.
