A cozy and relaxed Drink & Draw at Fletcher's Bar in Kings Heath (in the green room) Explore ways to let go of perfection, move past overthinking and reconnect with creativity through gentle creative exercises. Hosted by local illustrator and lecturer Jay Anderson.
£5 to cover room hire & materials (pay-what-you-can and no income ticket available).
Let’s make space to draw, chat and build community.
Grab a drink from the bar and settle in — we’ll start the evening with a few relaxed drawing prompts to help everyone loosen up and get into the flow.
As the night unfolds, we’ll explore different materials and simple subjects. There’s no pressure and no “right way” to do it — just space to experiment and enjoy the process.
Towards the second half of the evening, you’re invited to follow your own ideas in an open drawing session. Stay with a prompt, try something new, or simply enjoy sketching and conversation at your table.
Perfect. This isn’t about being “good” at art. It’s about slowing down, connecting, and giving yourself permission to be creative. All abilities (and wobbly lines) are welcome here.
