Drawing the Clothed Figure: Moving & Still

Our model is an aerialist and performer and will bring her silks and costumes into the life room.

In the morning, she will use the floor and wall to explore tension, strength and movement, in fluid, expressive poses. In the afternoon, she will settle into a long pose, using the silks as part of the composition.

The knowledge our hand and eye gain in the morning will enable us to make drawings alive with a deeper study of the figure, costume and expression.

This is a taught class, open to both practicing artists and beginners. Tutor Hannah Murgatroyd teaches with a light touch, aiding you in uncovering your way to natural, attentive, evocative drawing.

Held at Bath Artists' Studios on Saturday 28th February 2026 between 10-4. Materials suggestions and travel info will be emailed on confirmation of place.
