DJ101: Beginner-friendly DJ Workshop

​DJ101 is a beginner-friendly DJ workshop designed to give you insights on what do DJs actually do, not just turning knobs and dancing on stage. You'll get to build your musical identity as well as learning the technical basics of DJ-ing in one afternoon. The hands-on workshop is structured with the intention to be the starting point for your DJ-ing journey, providing you with direction and clarity.

​We’ll be exploring:

• ​the basic layout of most industry standard DJ equipments and software
• ​how DJs decide what kinds of music they want to play
• ​characteristics of music and how they fit in a DJ set
• ​different types of DJs (and where you might fit)
• ​how taste, intention, and context shape a DJ’s sound

​DJ101 is perfect for you if you’ve ever thought:

Isaac is a DJ for 3 years, playing a variety of genres such as jersey club, tech house, and techno. He has performed in events and functions, as well as venues such as Drip,?Tipsy Unicorn, and Middle Child Wine Bar.
