Two-day course that meets the DCF requirement to teach the 40-Hour childcare courses. Attendance for both classes is required.

This class will be held in person. MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS

The Florida Department of Children and Families’ Train the Trainer course is one of the requirements to teach DCF’s state-mandated child care certification courses. To teach, you must have a bachelor's degree with 6 credit hours in early childhood education, plus 1 year of work experience in a childcare setting with children ages 0-8.

This Train-the-Trainer course meets one of the requirements to teach the 40-Hour Childcare classes. This course introduces innovative training techniques that address the specific characteristics of adult learners and pose realistic training challenges new trainers might face. Participants will gain insight and hands-on experience with strategies such as role-play, motivation activities, and adult learning centers. Contact Hours: 12
