Catherine Duncan is a Scottish pianist currently based in London. She is active both as a soloist and chamber musician and gives regular performances throughout the UK, and is the founder and artistic director of the Three Rivers Festival. She is passionate about music as an instrument of dialogue and about classical performance as a powerful means of bringing people together. Catherine loves to curate programmes which allow works to be heard with a fresh perspective and which draw upon little explored links between composers.
The Scottish Chamber Orchestra Young Singers' Programme is designed to nurture and develop aspiring young singers and is aimed at musicians with a high level of singing/choral experience who wish to further their musicianship and choral technique through singing with a world-class ensemble. Young Singers take part in the SCO Chorus’ exciting programme of orchestral and a cappella concerts, as well as receiving dedicated masterclasses and coaching sessions with visiting international artists and the Chorus artistic team
