Join us to mark the start of Family Mediation Week. A gripping play about the impact of parental conflict and separation on families

To mark the start of Family Mediation Week, join us at Left Bank, Leeds on Monday 26th January 2026 for a powerful and thought-provoking evening of theatre and conversation.

Daisy Through the Looking Glass, performed by the Fractured Voices Theatre Group, draws on true but hidden stories from the Family Court, shining a light on the human cost of parental conflict and separation.

Told in a reverse chronology, this play centres on Dave, Maggie and their daughter, Daisy. When Dave and Maggie’s marriage falls apart, the couple have to navigate the family courts.

Written by His Honour Judge Stephen Wildblood KC, the play reflects his determination to raise awareness of how family disputes are handled, and the lasting impact these processes can have on children and parents alike. Stephen will be attending the event and also performs in the production.

Doors open at 7pm with drinks available to purchase from the bar, and the performance will begin at 7.30pm.

Following the performance, there will be the opportunity to discuss the issues raised in a relaxed and informal setting. A chance not only to enjoy an evening of impactful drama, but also to connect, reflect, and contribute to an important conversation.

Please note: This play contains some very strong language. It also covers themes of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and also of suicide. There is one scene which shows a loud incident of violence. If those themes are likely to upset you, you may wish not to attend.
