What's on offer?

Ever struggled to balance work and family life? Do you and your children like craft work? Join us for ‘Balancing Acts: Crafting Family and Work Connections’. We have an engaging and creative session for adults and children to explore the harmony between family life and work. Event highlights:

  • 15-minute talk: discover what makes work places family-friendly and learn from a study about the complex dynamics between work and family life.
  • Creative exploration: dive into a hands-on session using craft and drawing materials. Reflect on your own families unique benefits and challenges, and imagine changes that could support working families.
  • Craft creations: express your ideas and take your creations home or display them at the festival for others to enjoy.
  • Call to action: learn practical steps to advocate for family-friendly workplaces and make a positive impact in your own organisation.
  • Make your voice heard: engage with our postcard activity to share recommendations with local policy makers.

Whether you’re inspired to create, eager to discuss, passionate about advocacy, or just want to sit in and listen, this session offers something for everyone. Help share the conversation and be part of creating a support environments for working adults with caring responsibilities. Come drop in!
