📚 Library Writing Sessions: Unlock Your Inner Writer!📅

Every Other Thursday Starting 22 Jan

New Year, new season of free, informal writing workshops at Exeter Library! These sessions welcome writers of all levels and genres, providing a nurturing space to explore new ideas, build your skills, and share your work in a supportive group. Each session brings a unique theme, encouraging you to experiment with different forms and topics.

Whether you're new to writing or a seasoned wordsmith, there's something here for everyone! Led by Library staff members Nat & Chris, with occasional guest facilitators

PLEASE NOTE: Anybody aged 12+ is welcome to attend, but the sessions are adult orientated and contain adults writing and sharing work in the room, which may include some adults themes and language.

19 FEB - Remember, re-memoir
A deep dive into the world of memoir writing, and writing about the self. Led by Nat

05 MARCH- Tales From the Wild
Join storyteller & author Lisa Schneidau for a lively 90-minute storytelling workshop.

This practical and playful session explores the differences between written and spoken storytelling, builds confidence through simple techniques, and uses story games to spark imagination... with a touch of dark folklore along the way.

19 MARCH - Nature Writing
Nat leads another workshop exploring senses and the natural world, with a quick trip into Rougemont Gardens for some crisp, Springtime inspiration

02 APRIL - April Fools & Writing Tools
A whole session about loosening up and bringing a sense of play into our work, with some silly and surreal exercises, and plenty of opportunity to share. Led by Chris & Nat.
