Creative Movement: Dance with Me!
At the intersection of somatic movement, dance, and theatre games, accentuating improvisation, the spoken word, and the expressive body, this eight-week workshop series aims to spark one’s creativity and inner joy. Each class is designed to awaken the body and inspire the imagination through the joys and benefits of music and movement.
Inclusive in design and built for older adults, this workshop is open to all adults 55 and older, with special consideration given to those living with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions.
We recommend participants wear comfortable clothing and bring water.
Classes are on Wednesdays from 11 AM to 12:15 PM. The series runs on Jan. 14, 21, & 28; Feb. 4, 11, 18, & 25; and March 4.
This workshop series is limited to 15 participants. No previous movement experience is necessary.
Michael Vitaly Sazonov is a teaching artist, performer, and theatre-maker who utilizes movement, music, and words to create theatre with a social impact. Michael creates a space where we can be ourselves and find joy through new perspectives. His classes foster a safe and creative environment for all participants, no matter their skill level, because they are rooted in a sense of play and exploration.
